In a program organized in Lucknow on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described him as the great leader of the freedom movement. He paid tribute to Netaji, calling his courage, determination and patriotism a source of inspiration.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is such a name of India’s independence, which instills in the mind of every Indian the highest respect as well as the determination not to bow down to traitors and anti-national elements in adverse circumstances. As soon as the name of this true son of Mother India is taken, the feeling of reverence, respect and patriotism automatically awakens in the heart of every Indian.

Emotional program in Hazratganj on Netaji Subhash Jayanti

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed these views in a program organized at Netaji Subhash Chowk, Hazratganj, Lucknow on the occasion of the holy birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Describing Netaji as the great hero of the freedom movement, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for his invaluable contribution in the freedom struggle and paid homage to his portrait on behalf of the people of the state.

“Give me blood, I will give you freedom” became the mantra of freedom.

The Chief Minister said that Netaji’s call of “Give me blood, I will give you freedom” had become the mantra of freedom for the entire country. His every word gave new energy to the freedom struggle. His slogan of “Dilli Chalo” still inspires every Indian.

He said that the song “Kadam Kadam Badhaaye Ja, Khushi Ke Geet Gaye Ja…” is still sung with pride in the convocation ceremonies of the Indian Army. There will not be any Indian who does not have reverence and respect for Netaji.

Gave new direction to the freedom movement

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Netaji provided a new direction to the freedom movement led by Mahatma Gandhi. He led the freedom struggle as a foremost leader of the revolutionaries. The struggle he fought for independence both within India and abroad is unforgettable and inspiring. He went to many countries including Germany and Japan and spread the message of India’s independence.

Throwing light on the life of Netaji, the Chief Minister said that he was born in the year 1897 in a distinguished advocate family in Cuttack. He went to Britain for higher education and secured top rank in the ICS examination, but refused to serve the British rule and jumped into the freedom movement. The Chief Minister said that Netaji’s great personality and his invaluable contribution towards the nation still inspires all of us. On behalf of the people of the state, he paid obeisance at the feet of Netaji.
