Kochi: A daughter broke her mother’s rib when she removed face cream. The incident took place in Panangad, Ernakulam last Monday. The daughter has been arrested for assaulting her mother. Police say that the arrested Nivea has already been accused in criminal cases. This incident happened on the 19th. 30 year old Nivea brutally beat her 70 year old mother Sarsu. It is written in the police FIR that after strangulation, the ribs were broken by hitting them with an iron rod.
Police say that Nivea has a criminal history. She has earlier been an accused in a murder, kidnapping of a child and a drugs case. Police has made it clear that Nivea’s background is criminal. She often quarreled with her mother. After the incident the mother lodged a complaint with the police. As soon as she came to know that the case was registered, Nivea absconded. Panangad police detained Nivea from Mananthavady in Wayanad. According to the police, a 10-year-old child was also with him at the time of his arrest. There are indications that the police may take even more strict action.
