A 12-year-old boy sitting on a bike kept shouting “Save…Save…Kidnapper”. Passersby thought it was a kidnapping and immediately informed the police. After this, police and four teams from two police stations came into action. The truth that came out after examining about 50 CCTV cameras surprised everyone.
The child’s own parents turned out to be ‘kidnapper’
According to the information, 12-year-old Bharat Bhushan, resident of Shastri Nagar of Chiluatal police station area, was living at his maternal uncle’s house for the last few days. The family says that the child was not taking interest in studies, so his mother Shalini left him at his maternal uncle’s house for a few days.
On Wednesday, when the parents came to take him back home, the child refused to go. Even after a lot of explaining, he did not agree. Finally the mother started taking him home on the bike. Meanwhile, the child started shouting loudly “Save…Save…Kidnapper” all across the way. Seeing this, the passers-by suspected kidnapping and informed the police.
The truth came out after examining 50 CCTV cameras
As soon as the information was received, there was panic in the police department. On the instructions of the officials, a joint team of Chiluatal and Gularia police stations was formed. The police scanned the footage of more than 50 CCTV cameras of the area and chased the bike and reached the child. During interrogation, it was revealed that the people whom the child was calling kidnappers were his own parents. The family told the police that the child was doing this just to avoid studies and stay at his maternal uncle’s house.

Police let the family go after investigation
CO Gorakhnath Ravi Kumar Singh said that a passerby near the Sports College had informed the control room that a child sitting on a bike was shouting “Save, Kidnapper”. Taking the information seriously, four teams were immediately formed and investigation was started on the basis of CCTV footage.
Investigation revealed that no kidnapping had taken place. The child was safe with his parents and was doing this to avoid going home. After completing the necessary interrogation and videography process, the police let the family go. The incident also demonstrated that the police acted quickly and without delay after receiving information, ensuring a thorough investigation of the potential threat.
