UP Diwas: To make Nipun Bharat Mission a mass movement, there will be ‘Shiksha Chaupal’ in every Nyaya Panchayat on 24th January. Its objective is to strengthen the basic education of children by connecting parents and the community. Teachers and meritorious children will also be honored in this.

Lucknow, Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is continuously taking concrete steps towards achieving the goals of Nipun Bharat Mission in a time bound manner and giving the form of a people’s movement to education. In this sequence, ‘Shiksha Chaupal’ will be organized in all the Nyaya Panchayats of the state on January 24, 2026, on the occasion of UP Day. This initiative aims to strengthen the basic linguistic and mathematical skills of children by connecting parents, School Management Committees (SMC), teachers and the local population towards the objectives of Nipun Bharat Mission.

Awareness from Kindergarten to Basic Education

Director General School Education Monica Rani has sent a letter to all basic education officers and has given instructions to organize the event. It has been said that through Shiksha Chaupal, special emphasis will be laid on effective operation of Kindergarten, enrollment and regular attendance of children and long-term importance of education. Information about the teaching materials provided to the schools, print-rich materials, mathematics kits, functional libraries, sports materials and digital resources like Smart Class, ICT Lab, Diksha, Khan Academy and Teachers App will also be shared in the Chaupal.

Respect and participation will increase enthusiasm

During Shiksha Chaupal, teachers who have done excellent work, schools which have shown significant improvement in enrollment and attendance, and meritorious children will be honored. Also, gratitude will be expressed to the parents and SMC members for their contribution. Public representatives, administrative officers, intellectuals and media representatives will be invited to the programme.

₹10 thousand per Nyaya Panchayat

Strict financial guidelines: Funds at the rate of ₹ 10,000 per Nyaya Panchayat have been sanctioned for organizing Shiksha Chaupal. This amount will be spent on arrangements like tents, chairs, sound system, banners, refreshments, stationery, photography and videography etc. It will be mandatory to upload the details of expenditure on the management portal within the stipulated time. District and divisional level officials will continuously monitor the program.
