2 changes in South Africa’s team

South Africa has suffered a big setback before the T20 World Cup 2026. Tony DeGeorge and Donovan Ferreira have been ruled out of the entire tournament due to injury. Tony De Georgi suffered a hamstring strain during the India tour in December, from which he has not been able to fully recover. Donovan Ferreira suffered a shoulder fracture while fielding in SA20. Due to which both these players will not be able to be a part of the tournament.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Ryan Rickleton and explosive batsman Tristan Stubbs have been included in the team as replacements for these two players. Ryan Rickleton’s entry has been due to his excellent form. In SA20, he has scored 337 runs and the strike rate has also been 156.01. Stubbs is also one of the important batsmen of the team, but he missed out on a place in the main squad. But now he has also returned.

This player is also injured

The tensions are still not over for South Africa. David Miller, Lungi Ngidi and Dewald Brewis are also suffering from injury and are undergoing fitness tests.
