A huge blow to Bangladesh Cricket Board (Photo-GETTY IMAGES)
T20 World Cup: Bangladesh Cricket Board was insulted a lot in the ICC meeting. First of all, he got a crushing defeat in the voting and the big thing is that the country in which he wanted to play in the T20 World Cup, the same country refused to play with the Bangladeshi team. Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam said that the Sri Lanka Cricket Board was against the inclusion of Bangladesh in their group, they did not want any new team to come into their group.
Bangladesh did not get the support of Sri Lanka
The President of Sri Lanka Cricket Board while talking to the media told how Sri Lanka did not support him. He said, ‘We proposed to shift our matches to Sri Lanka. We feel that Sri Lanka is not safe for Bangladeshi cricketers. However, the Sri Lankan board said that they do not want any new team to come into their group. Let us tell you that relations between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are very good, both the countries also play bilateral series but when it came to supporting India in the T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka voted in support of India.
Bangladesh has the last chance
The ICC had rejected the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s proposal on Wednesday. Bangladesh wants its T20 World Cup matches to be held in India to be shifted to Sri Lanka. However, ICC said that the matches will be held as per schedule as there is no threat to Bangladeshi players at any place in India. According to ICC sources, 14 out of 16 members voted against BCB changing the match venue. ICC has now given BCB time till Thursday. If Bangladesh does not agree, then Scotland will play the T20 World Cup in its place.

Bangladesh is still telling India that it is unsafe
Even after this order of ICC, BCB is calling India unsafe for its players. BCB President said, ‘I am expecting a miracle from ICC. Who doesn’t want to play in the World Cup? Bangladesh players want to play World Cup. Bangladesh government wants Bangladesh to play the World Cup. But we don’t think India is safe for our players. Any government, while taking decisions, keeps everyone in mind, not just the players. I have asked the ICC Board for time to talk to my government for the last time.
