UP Government Best Scheme: Now Aadhaar services will be available at the Gram Panchayat level in Uttar Pradesh. Starting from 2 Panchayats of Lucknow, this facility will reach 1000 villages in the first phase. More than 800 Panchayat assistants have been trained for this.
Lucknow: Another important step has been taken by the Uttar Pradesh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath towards strengthening the reach of digital services in rural areas. Panchayati Raj Department has started Aadhaar centers at Gram Panchayat level in Lucknow, through which villagers will now be able to avail Aadhaar related services in their villages.
Now you will not have to travel to Lucknow
Aadhaar services have been successfully started in Gram Panchayat Bhatgawan Pandey of Sarojininagar block of the state capital Lucknow and Sairpur Gram Panchayat of Chinhat block. So far, Aadhaar related services have been provided to more than 40 villagers in these two Gram Panchayats, due to which they no longer have to travel to the cities.
Facility will be provided to 57,694 gram panchayats in a phased manner
This initiative is a historic step towards easy, transparent and accessible availability of citizen services at the Panchayat level. According to the plan of the department, in the first phase, Aadhaar services will be started in 1000 gram panchayats of the state, after which it will be extended to all 57,694 gram panchayats of the state in a phased manner.
Panchayati Raj Department is running this scheme
For effective implementation of this ambitious scheme, a comprehensive training program of Panchayat Assistants is being conducted by the Panchayati Raj Department. So far, initial training has been given to more than 800 Panchayat assistants, while the training work of the remaining Panchayat assistants is in progress.

Panchayati Raj Minister Omprakash Rajbhar said that the introduction of Aadhaar services at the village level is a big step towards making the lives of villagers easier. This initiative will not only save time and resources, but will also make the Panchayats self-reliant and efficient.

Director of Panchayati Raj Department, Amit Kumar Singh said that the department is committed to empowering gram panchayats digitally. This launch of Aadhaar services will prove to be a milestone in the direction of developing Panchayats as citizen service centres. This initiative of Aadhaar services at Gram Panchayat level is being considered as a big start towards realizing the resolve of Digital India and empowered Panchayats.
