New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) concluded the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 January 22 day 2 exam at 12 noon. The second shift is scheduled from 3 PM to 6 PM. As per initial reactions from candidates who attempted the exam, the paper was moderately difficult.
On the basis of memory-based questions by subject experts and coaching institutes, the JEE Main January 22 shift 1 unofficial question paper with solutions will be released shortly.
JEE Main 2026 January 21 exam analysis
As per subject experts, the JEE Mains 2026 day 1 shift 1 exam was moderate to tough, while the shift 2 paper was easy to moderate. In shift 1, the Chemistry section was the toughest, followed by Mathematics and Physics. Candidates found the Maths section more challenging than Chemistry and Physics in shift 2.
The overall difficulty level of the JEE Mains day 1 shift 2 was easy to moderate. The shift 2 paper was easy than shift 1. Experts have stated that the shift 2 exam was similar to last year. Overall, Maths was more difficult compared to chemistry and physics.
