The England football team may have made a slow start in the FIFA World Cup 2026, but this team under the captaincy of Harry Kane has gained momentum. Now this team has reached the quarter-finals, where it will face Norway. But the team’s experienced midfielder Jordan Henderson will not be available for this important match because he has a fracture in his hand. Henderson’s accident occurred due to a minor mistake while celebrating England’s victory in the Round of 16, due to which he was eliminated from the quarter-finals.

In the last round of the World Cup, England faced host Mexico. In this exciting match, England had won 3-2 and got the ticket for the quarter-finals. This victory was very important for England because it boosted their hopes of winning the title. In such a situation, the celebration of victory was also special and all the players came to celebrate this success with their fans, where 36 year old Jordan Henderson became the victim of an accident.

How did Henderson’s hand fracture?

In fact, after the match was over, many England players crossed the football pitch and reached the fans. When the players were returning to the field after celebrating with the fans for a long time, Henderson fell face down while trying to cross the digital advertising board by jumping over it. As soon as he fell, his left hand got badly twisted and he started screaming in pain. Immediately all the players surrounded him and the medical team examined him. Henderson was taken out on a stretcher.

Returned to the team after surgery, but now it is difficult to play

Henderson was examined in a hospital in Mexico City, in which it was found that he had a fracture in his left hand. Due to this he underwent surgery, which was successful. Henderson himself shared this information by posting his photo from the hospital bed on social media. He also thanked the doctor and medical staff who performed the surgery. He has currently returned to America from Mexico, where the England team has a camp in Kansas City. However, he will not be able to play in the quarter-finals and it is difficult for him to play even if he reaches the semi-finals.
