Tata Motors has launched 17 new trucks ranging from 7 to 55 tonnes. This portfolio includes the new Asura series and electric trucks. These vehicles come with global safety standards, superior payload and mileage.

BhaTata Motors, the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer and mobility solutions provider, has launched a next-generation portfolio of 17 trucks ranging from 7 to 55 tonnes. It will set new standards in terms of safety, profits and growth.

Asura Series for Mid-Duty Logistics

With this big launch, the company has introduced the new Asura series, state-of-the-art Tata Trucks.EV range and major upgrades to the existing Prima, Signa and Ultra platforms. The company says these trucks are designed to meet the stringent global safety standards (ECE R29 03), enhancing earning potential, reducing total cost of ownership and ensuring greater success for transporters.

The Asura series has a new 3.6-litre diesel engine, which offers excellent performance and efficiency. It will be available in configurations ranging from 7 to 19 tonnes. The company says that it is perfect for many applications like e-commerce, FMCG distribution, white goods delivery, construction material transportation and intercity logistics.

Adherence to Global Crash Safety Standards

Tata Motors has set a new benchmark in road safety by upgrading its entire truck portfolio including the Signa, Prima, Ultra and the new Asura series to meet the stringent ECE R29 03 global crash safety standard (Euro Crash Norms). These trucks have cabins that offer front, rollover, and side-impact protection. Apart from this, 23 advanced safety technologies like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Collision Mitigation System are also provided in it. Safety is further enhanced with real-time driving behavior monitoring through the Fleet Edge platform.

More payload, better mileage, more profits

Tata Motors’ truck range offers benefits that directly drive profits. Smart improvements have increased payload capacity to 1.8 tonnes, while a drivetrain upgrade with an advanced 6.7-litre Cummins diesel engine delivers up to 7% better fuel efficiency. All these innovations together ensure better payload, fuel savings and better returns on every investment for transporters.

Tata launches 7-55T electric truck range

Tata Motors has introduced a large portfolio of electric trucks ranging from 7 to 55 tonnes based on the new I-MOEV (Intelligent Modular Electric Vehicle) architecture, under the Tata Trucks.ev brand. These trucks have been designed for use in e-commerce, construction and ports. The Ultra EV range in 7, 9 and 12 tonne configurations are India’s most advanced electric light trucks, bringing zero-emission efficiency to cities. Meanwhile, with 470 kW power and 453 kWh battery capacity, the Prima E.55S prime mover sets a new standard for heavy-duty performance and low operating costs. The Prima E.28K tipper further strengthens this portfolio, offering high torque and strength for mining and construction.
