These places are worth seeing in Munsiyari

Khaliya Top – Located about 15 km from Munsiyari, this lush green Bugyal (Alpine meadow) gives a spectacular view of the picturesque peaks of the Himalayas like Panchchuli, Nanda Kot, Rajrambha. It is also very much liked for trekking.

Bailanthi Farm – Famous as a panoramic view point of Munsiyari Valley and surrounding mountain ranges. The view of sunset and Himalayas looks very beautiful from here. After going here you will not feel like coming back.

Thamri Kund- Thamri Kund is a beautiful pond, which is situated amidst forests and mountains. Here you can walk while bird watching. Can spend two moments of peace.

Nanda Devi Temple – There is an ancient temple located about 3 km from Munsiyari from where spectacular views of the Himalayas and Panchchuli peaks can be enjoyed.

How to reach Munsiyari from Delhi

The distance from Delhi to Munsiyari is about 500 to 600 kilometers. To go here you can take bus, train or even flight. The easiest way is to take a flight or train from Delhi to Kathgodam or Pantnagar. From there you can reach Munsiyari by taking a taxi or sharing cab. If you are going by bus, then you can take a bus to Kathgodam, Haldwani or Almora and then travel further by taxi.
