Disha had dreamed of giving a new direction to her life in the fashion industry after completing her studies from NIFT. But, they got married soon. At the same time, responsibilities stood in the queue. There came a time when there was no room left for her own dreams in Disha’s life. While trying to become a good wife, a good daughter-in-law and a good mother, my dreams were put on hold. However, there was still a fashion designer in my mind, who was repeatedly inspiring me to beautify life.
When Disha expressed her desire to start a boutique
On the other hand, Disha’s life was dedicated to her family. Time was passing and her identity was that of a housewife. There was a pang in her mind that she was confined to home only, which she did not want. Meanwhile, when Disha expressed her desire to start a small boutique in the basement of the house, she met opposition from the family. Even a small dream seemed big at that time.
Trusting herself, Disha started her work quietly. Started a tailoring boutique with 2 tailors and limited resources. Disha tells that the journey which started with a team of two people is progressing today with 25 workers. Today, without any big setup, without any support system, she is giving new forms to her dreams, but behind this success is also a lot of pain which she faced between 2020 and 2022.
Hobby became a way of life
Disha’s father-in-law passed away in the year 2020. Then in 2022, her husband said goodbye to the world, due to which Disha was completely broken. The work which was Disha’s hobby has now become a means of living. Time played such a game that Disha had no way of retreating. Instead of bowing down to the circumstances, he strengthened himself further.
Today Disha is running her designer boutique in Green Park, Delhi. About 25 people work here. Today, his business is not only the support of his family but also his identity. Disha says, today she tells every woman that if you are earning, it does not mean that you spend everything today. Earning today means making yourself secure for tomorrow. So that one can stand strong in difficult times.
