48 sensitive places identified, where there is danger of accident
The authority swung into action after the incident and has identified 48 such places in the city where a major accident can happen at any time. These include major roads like Sector P-3 of Greater Noida West, 130 Meter Road, Surajpur Road and Kasna Road. Officials have been instructed to conduct on-site inspection of bridges over drains, service roads and main roads, stop reflector markings, stop illegal cuts and install warning signs.
Greater Noida Development Authority CEO NG Ravi has given clear instructions that security arrangements should be made immediately in all the projects under construction or lying vacant for a long time in the city. Barricading, reflector warning boards and adequate lighting have been mandated to prevent accidents, especially in dense fog and at night. Builders have been given 15 days to follow these instructions.
