Jugalbandi of Tabla and Didgeridoo became the center of attraction

Another special attraction of the program was the unique jugalbandi of Australia’s traditional musical instrument Didgeridoo and India’s Tabla. Renowned artistes Ron Murray and Dr. Sam Evans enthralled the audience with their performances. Prime Minister Modi described it as a beautiful example of the deep cultural ties between India and Australia and praised both the artists.

Apart from this, Kathak dance was also presented in the welcome ceremony organized by the Indian community in Melbourne. The Prime Minister met the artists and said that the growing popularity of Indian classical dance in Australia is a very pleasant sign.
