PM Modi lands in China for SCO summit, Xi Jinping meeting on Sunday amid US tariff

Tianjin: After a two-day trip in Japan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lands in China on Saturday to attend the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on August 31 and September 1. The visit that comes after seven years is important as it comes in the backdrop of the US imposing 50 per cent tariff on India for purchasing Russian oil.

On Sunday, PM Modi will meet his Chinese counterpart, President Xi Jinping.
