Kohrra Season 2 cast

Barun Sobti reprises his role as Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Jasjit Singh, fondly known as Garundi. The character quickly became a fan favourite in Season 1 for his quiet intensity and emotional depth. This time, Garundi is uprooted from Jagrana and transferred to the Dalerpura Police Station. The move places him in an unfamiliar environment, forcing him to navigate a new power structure and test his instincts once again.

Joining the cast this season is Mona Singh, who plays Dhanwant Kaur, a senior, no-nonsense police officer and Garundi’s new superior. Strong-willed and uncompromising, Dhanwant Kaur brings a sharp contrast to Garundi’s more inward personality. Despite their differences, the two officers are bound by an unshakeable commitment to their duty.

Kohrra Season 2 expected plot

Season 2 centres on a chilling murder case involving a woman who is brutally killed and dismembered, with her body discovered inside her brother’s house. As the investigation unfolds, Garundi and Dhanwant are pulled into a web of buried family secrets, unspoken trauma and moral compromises. The case doesn’t just test their professional abilities; it forces both officers to confront unresolved wounds from their own pasts.

Much like its first outing, Kohrra continues to explore the darker undercurrents of life in Punjab. The new season promises a deeper dive into fractured families, mental health struggles and the silent violence that hides behind everyday normalcy. The emotional cost of policing remains as central as the crime itself.

Season 2 is directed by Sudip Sharma along with Faisal Rehman. The series is produced by Saurabh Malhotra, Sudip Sharma, Manuj Mittra and Tina Tharwani.
