An auto-rickshaw driver was injured in Mumbai’s Juhu area on 19 January after a car from actor Akshay Kumar’s security convoy was caught in a chain collision.
One of the convoy vehicles suffered damage, but no serious injuries were reported beyond the driver.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna had returned to Mumbai from an overseas trip on Monday evening shortly before the incident. The collision involved the actor’s security detail, but Akshay Kumar was not inside the convoy vehicle when the crash happened.

According to initial information, a speeding Mercedes first struck an auto-rickshaw in Juhu. The impact injured the rickshaw driver and pushed the three-wheeler forward. The auto-rickshaw then rammed into one of the cars from Akshay Kumar’s security convoy, leaving the security vehicle damaged.

The Juhu police have started an inquiry into the chain collision and are checking how fast the Mercedes was travelling. Officers are also verifying statements from witnesses and occupants of the involved vehicles. A formal First Information Report has not yet been registered in the case.
The incident, which took place in a busy part of Juhu, drew attention because it involved Akshay Kumar’s security convoy soon after the actor’s return to Mumbai. Police proceedings are continuing, and further action will depend on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
