The rainy season is considered good for guava cultivation. Even though guava production increases in this season, the risk of damage to the tree due to waterlogging also increases due to continuous rains. If this happens, the roots of the tree will start rotting. You should make proper drainage arrangements around the tree so that water flows out through small drains.

During the rainy season, problems like spots on leaves, fruit rot and fungus start increasing rapidly. To overcome this, spray fungicides or appropriate pesticides as per the advice of an agricultural expert. If there are infected leaves or insects are visible in the fruit, remove them immediately.

Dry, broken or diseased branches should be removed during rains. By removing bad branches, air reaches the tree easily and the growth of the tree improves.
