What is Aadhaar lock-unlock feature?
UIDAI’s Aadhaar Lock-Unlock feature gives you complete control over your Aadhaar number (UID). When you lock Aadhaar, biometric, demographic and OTP authentication with Aadhaar number (UID) stops. Identity cannot be verified directly from Aadhaar through UID, UID token and VID, no organization can misuse your Aadhaar number. However, if you wish, you can avail services through Virtual ID (VID). There are two easy ways to lock Aadhaar.
