Many products including sweets, dry fruits, gift items, flowers and fruits, clothes, furnishing fabrics, grocery, FMCG products, consumer durables are also seen in the markets. Due to the increase in consumer spending, the sale of Holi festivals in many business areas is being rapid. People are demanding white T-shirts and kurta-pajamas, salwar suits to play Rang-Abir and the demand for T-shirt written by Happy Holi is also continuously in the market.

India is a country of festivals

Khandelwal said that India is a country of festivals and every festival or any religious event definitely increases business. Holi is expected to promote economic activities, which provides special benefits of local businesses, small traders, small scale industries and MSME sector. This Holi will also prove beneficial for traders and retailers across the country.

60,000 crore rupees

According to CAT data, this year Holi festival is expected to trade more than Rs 60,000 crore for traders, which is about 20% more than the previous year. Last year, this business was about 50 thousand crores. According to an estimate, there is a possibility of trade in more than 8 thousand crores in Delhi markets.

Holi celebrations event

Khandelwal said that this year too, a large -scale Holi celebrations are being organized across the country including Delhi, due to which there is a wave of Holi celebrations in banquet hall, farm houses, hotels, restaurants and public parks. More than 3 thousand Holi Milan celebrations are being organized in Delhi alone, and people involved in all the programs are seeing a new happiness and enthusiasm on the faces. A large number of business, social, cultural and religious organizations are organizing Holi Milan ceremony.

Gujiya is selling

As soon as the festival of Holi draws near, all the wholesale and retail markets of Delhi are fully adorned. In all the markets, shops are crowded for shopping for other items of Holi along with Gulal and Pichkari. Holi is not only a festival of colors, but also a festival of food and dishes. There is a large sale of Gujiya etc. to be built on Holi, especially at sweets shops.

Will be celebrated on 14 March

Khandelwal said that Holi will be lit in Delhi on March 13, while the festival of colors will be celebrated on 14 March. Markets are also seen dyed in the color of Holi. Apart from colorful gulal and atomizer in the market, shops are adorned with Gujiya’s necklace and nuts. People are increasing daily for shopping in the market. He told that due to the tradition of carrying fruits and sweets of relatives on Holi, a crowd of people for shopping remained at the shops for shopping. Due to this, there is a stir in the market.

Instead of chemical -rich gulal and color, herbal colors, Abir and Gulal are the most demanded in the markets, while the demand for balloons and atomizers is more than in the previous years. Khandelwal said that this time different types of squirrel balloons and other attractive items have come in the market. Pressure squirrel is available from Rs 100 to Rs 350. The atomizer in the form of tank is available from Rs 100 to Rs 400. Apart from this, the fancy pipes have also been in a big bang in the market.
