The record of throwing the fastest ball in the world is in the name of Shoaib Akhtar. He covered 161.3 km. The ball is thrown at the speed of one hour. No player has been able to break this record till now but there is an Indian fast bowler who can break this record and he has recently got a chance in Team India. We are talking about Ashok Sharma who is a fast bowler from Rajasthan and recently he played for Gujarat Titans in IPL. Ashok Sharma covered 154 km in this tournament. The ball was bowled at a speed per hour which also proved to be the fastest ball of this season. Ashok Sharma has now got a place in Team India for the T20 series against Zimbabwe and after getting this place, Ashok Sharma has expressed his desire to become the fastest bowler in the world.
Ashok Sharma will touch 160 km. hourly figure
In an exclusive conversation with Times of India Ashok Sharma Said that one day he would travel 160 km. Will throw the ball at the speed of one hour. This 23 year old fast bowler has said that he is going to increase the speed of his ball and he will never compromise with the pace. Ashok Sharma said, ‘I never compromised on my pace. My focus was always on improving my bowling. If everything goes well then one day I will cover 160 km. I will bowl at the pace of one hour. But I don’t think too much about it, I’m just focusing on getting better.
How will Ashok Sharma increase speed?
Ashok Sharma told that to improve oneself it is necessary to have good competition. He said, ‘Good competition is necessary. If there is no competition then you will not motivate yourself to move forward. Competing makes you better every day. This helps you to be good as a cricketer.
Ashok Sharma will show strength in Zimbabwe
Ashok Sharma had taken 22 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. After which Gujarat Titans had placed a bet on him. He did not perform much in IPL but his speed was discussed. This is the reason why BCCI gambled on him and selected him for the Zimbabwe series.
