Asia Cup 2025: These 5 players go to Dubai to cancel, BCCI’s big decision – News Himachali News Himachali

Asia cup 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has refused to send Standby players to Dubai with the main team for the Asia Cup 2025. Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, fast bowler famous Krishna, all -rounder Washington Sundar, middle -order batsman Ryan Parag and wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurlel are in the standby list, but they will not travel with the team.

A senior BCCI official said that if needed, they will be called directly from India to Dubai, so that there are less players in the journey and logistics would be easy.

This decision is part of the team management policy, as it was possible to take 17 players under the Asia Cup rules, but India has chosen only 15 -member squad. The team, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, will reach Dubai on 4 September and will start practice at the ICC Academy from 5 September. The players will not gather in Mumbai but will fly directly from their respective cities.

This decision means that standby players will not go together as a net bowler or backup. Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson are already present in the salute batting, so Jaiswal will be called only in injury or other emergency. Similarly, the famous Krishna will get a chance only when needed in the fast bowling department. Chief Selector Ajit Aggarwal said that Jaiswal’s exit is unfortunate, but Abhishek’s bowling ability preferred him.

Currently, some players are busy with domestic cricket, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana are playing for North Zone in the Duleep Trophy quarterfinals, while Kuldeep Yadav is representing the Central Zone. India’s campaign will start at Dubai International Cricket Stadium against UAE on September 10 in Group A.

This will be followed by Pakistan on 14 September and Oman on 19 September. The Super Four phase will be held from 20 to 26 September and the final will be played in Dubai on 28 September. The tournament will be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, in which eight teams will participate in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, UAE, Oman and Hong Kong. Group B stars Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. India is a defending champion and will be played in T20 format this time.

India’s 15 -member team: Suryakumar Yadav (Captain), Shubman Gill (Vice -captain), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dubey, Akshar Patel, Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Jaspreet Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakraborty, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Harshit Rana, Rinku Singh.
