Choco Lava Cake Ingredients

To make lava, take ½ cup cold water, 3 tbsp oil, 1 tsp lemon juice, ⅓ cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla essence.

Preparing to make cake

Add cold water, oil, lemon juice, powdered sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl and mix well. This has to be kept aside as it will be used later.

Now add salt, cocoa powder, flour and baking soda in another bowl and mix well. Keep this also aside.

Prepare the mold.

Take a mold of the shape of your choice, apply butter in it and keep it in the freezer so that the butter gets frozen.

After some time, remove the mold again and sprinkle some flour well on both the sides of the mold and then keep it in the freezer again.

For Choco Lava Cake

  • To the dry mixture that you have already prepared, you have to add the already prepared cold water mixture. It needs to be mixed well, but don’t whisk too much.
  • Now remove the mold from the freezer and spread it by adding 2-3 spoons of the prepared mixture. Then add a small piece of dark chocolate and then add 1-2 spoons of butter.
  • You have to repeat this process in all the prepared molds. And then keep the filled molds in the freezer for a minute or two.
  • When the cake is set in the mold, place it in a hot steamer. Steam it only for 4-5 minutes, not more than that.
  • In this way, your Choco Lava Cake will be ready, carefully remove it from the mold and garnish with thin slices of chopped apple, cherries or strawberries.
  • Serve the prepared Choco Lava Cake hot. When you take it out with a spoon, the lava scatters and melts as soon as it goes in the mouth.
