Lucknow. To take the double engine government’s vision ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ to every daughter, Lakhimpur Kheri district administration has started a new and inspiring initiative. Under this, “DM Kheri Ki Pathshala” was launched with the aim of spreading the light of education among the daughters of the district.
‘Vidyadayini Potli’ handed over to 9 thousand girl students
On Monday, ‘Vidyadayini Potli’ was given to a total of 9,000 girl students of council schools and Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Schools by District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal and public representatives. In this bundle, useful educational gifts like white board cum study table, marker, duster were given to the daughters.
Daughters’ own school will be built at home also
The District Magistrate said that the objective of “DM Kheri Ki Pathshala” is not to limit the education of daughters only to school, but to provide them better resources and favorable environment for studies at home also. With this initiative, daughters will be able to set up a small school in their home. She will not only study herself, but will also inspire her family and people around her for education.
Resolve taken to deliver bundle to every daughter
In the first phase of this scheme, 9 thousand daughters have been given Vidyadayini Potli. This campaign will continue continuously. The administration has resolved to take it to every daughter of the district, so that the government’s vision regarding daughter education can be fully realized.
Bundles prepared at a cost of Rs 19.80 lakh
In the first phase, this bundle was given to 6,798 topper daughters of council schools, 51 daughters selected in ‘Wall of Dreams’ and 2,151 girl students of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Schools. Two topper daughters each of classes 6, 7 and 8 were selected in council schools. A total of 9,000 bundles have been prepared at a cost of approximately Rs 19 lakh 80 thousand.
Distribution took place in mega event
During the mega event organized at Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School, Rajapur, District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal and MLA Yogesh Verma distributed packets to the girl students.
Daughters’ education will strengthen their future: DM
The District Magistrate said that when daughters study at home, the foundation of their bright future will become stronger. Through education they will become self-reliant and bring positive change in the society. MLA Yogesh Verma said that DM’s visionary thinking and active initiative has given a new direction to the education of daughters.
‘Wall of Dreams’ became the attraction of the program
During the mega event, ‘Wall of Dreams’ was constructed, which was the main attraction of the event. Daughters of council schools drew their future dreams on colorful posters. Selected posters from these were given a place on the ‘Wall of Dreams’ by the administration.
Public representatives also distributed ‘Vidyadayini bundle’
Many public representatives distributed packets to the girl students in the program. Happiness and confidence were clearly visible on the faces of the daughters after receiving the bundle. Those who distributed the bundles included MLA Saurabh Singh ‘Sonu’, Yogesh Verma, Shashank Verma (Nighasan), Lokendra Pratap Singh and Romi Sahni (Palia).
