3 schools of Ambala received bomb threat through email. Police have investigated the premises and are on high alert. Earlier on December 10, Delhi schools had also received a similar threat.
Ambala: On Monday, several schools in Ambala received bomb threats, following which the police conducted a massive security check in the school premises. Seema Dutt, principal of Riverside DAV Public School, Ambala Cantt, said police have conducted an investigation on the campus and officials are on high alert. “After receiving an unknown email, we informed the police. Police personnel reached here; we are on alert. A total of three schools have received this email,” Dutt said. Further information is awaited.
Earlier, on December 10, many schools in Delhi had received bomb threats through emails. Schools immediately issued a notice asking parents to take their children as a precaution. The notice called for sending students home in a phased manner to closely monitor and handle the situation without creating panic among students and parents. Delhi Police confirmed that both the institutions had received the threat emails at almost the same time. Several police teams along with bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs were deployed at the spot. However, nothing suspicious was found during the search, officials said.
