Such a small purse in Pakistan Super League (Photo-PTI)
Pakistan Super League: For the first time in the history of Pakistan Super League, Players Auction (PSL Auction) is going to be held, Pakistan Cricket Board has announced this. The interesting thing is that the Pakistan Super League teams have been given such a small purse that even Hardik Pandya’s time will not come. Let us tell you that PCB has made the total budget of the franchise for the auction of players to PSL teams to 1.6 million US dollars i.e. 14.6 crore Indian rupees, which is quite low. If we compare it with IPL, it is less than 10 times. The purse of franchises in India is more than Rs 100 crore. Many players in India are sold for Rs 14.6 crore. The amazing thing is that Hardik Pandya also wears a watch worth more money than the purse of PSL teams.
Know the rules of PSL Auction
According to the new rules of Pakistan Super League, each franchise will have the right to retain a maximum of four players, in which only one player will be included in each category. Earlier, each franchise was allowed to have eight players in its team, which included a mentor, a brand ambassador and the option of keeping a ninth player in the player draft. The board has abolished the appointment of mentor, brand ambassador and right to match.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer said that before the auction, both the new teams Hyderabad and Sialkot will be allowed to select four players from the pool of available players. Each franchise will be allowed to directly sign one foreign player who did not play in PSL 10.
Pakistan Super League competes with IPL
This time Pakistan Super League is taking direct competition with IPL. Actually PSL and IPL are starting on the same day. Like IPL, Pakistan Super League is to start from March 26. This time Pakistan Super League matches will also be held in Faisalabad.
