Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave the examples of Ayodhya and Sonbhadra and said that government schemes are not just providing assistance but are becoming the basis of self-reliance. People are becoming economically empowered through housing, employment and self-employment.

Lucknow. During the program organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while sharing the examples of Ayodhya and Sonbhadra, said that the government’s schemes are not limited to just assistance, but are laying a strong foundation to make people self-reliant.

Schemes to promote employment and self-employment

The Chief Minister said that ration card for food for the needy, Mission Rozgar for employment, PM Swanidhi for street vendors and PM Vishwakarma Yojana for traditional artisans have been implemented. Youth are being linked to PM Startup India and PM Standup India to start their own business. At the same time, training and opportunities are being provided to eligible youth for jobs and self-employment under PM Skill Development Scheme.

The story of self-reliance started from housing in Ayodhya

Giving the example of Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi said that a Scheduled Caste family had raised capital to build their house. During this time, he got a permanent house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. After this the family bought an e-rickshaw with the remaining capital. Today the son of the family is earning an income of about one thousand rupees daily and the entire family has become self-reliant.

Housing changed the financial condition of women in Sonbhadra

Sharing the example of Sonbhadra, the Chief Minister said that there a woman beneficiary started dairy farming with the remaining money after getting a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This created a source of additional income and the husband and wife together were able to strengthen the financial condition of the family.

Basic facilities are available along with housing

Chief Minister Yogi said that along with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, facilities like toilets, electricity connection, Ujjwala gas and Ayushman card are also being provided. This is giving the beneficiaries an opportunity to move towards complete self-reliance.

Steps towards self-reliant Uttar Pradesh

Expressing his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister said that with the resolve of the government, a solid roof is being ensured over the head of every needy and employment is being ensured in the hands of every youth. Concrete steps are being taken continuously towards making Uttar Pradesh self-reliant.
