Diwali Firecrackeers Ban in UP: On the direction of the Supreme Court, 8 districts of UP Meerut, Noida, Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Baghpat and Shamli fixed the punishment for complete restrictions on sale, construction and use, jail and fine on violations.
Firecrackers ban in up: Will you be able to hear the buzz of firecrackers on Diwali this time? Probably not. Following the instructions of the Supreme Court, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken tough steps towards pollution control. The construction, sales and use of firecrackers in eight districts of the state has been completely banned. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the deteriorating air of Delhi-NCR.
Ban on firecrackers implemented in which districts?
According to the order issued by the UP Police, this rule will be applicable in Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Bulandshahr, Hapur, Baghpat, Shamli and Muzaffarnagar. In these districts, neither firecrackers, neither will be sold nor boiled.

Strict action will be taken against those who violate
The police have given a clear warning that violating this order will be given heavy punishment.
- Jail for five years
- Fines up to one lakh rupees
- Or both punishment together
That is, now the construction, storage, offline-online sales and use of firecrackers are completely banned in these districts.

Why decided to ban firecrackers?
Delhi-NCR suffers from pollution every year during the festive season. Smog, respiratory diseases and dangerous AQI spoil people’s health. In such a situation, the Supreme Court and the UP government together have decided to completely ban firecrackers to prevent pollution.
