UP Nirvachan Aayog Modern Office: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of the modern office building of Uttar Pradesh State Election Commission under Awadh Vihar Yojana in Lucknow. This 6 -storey building will be built in an area of 2618.59 square meters at a cost of Rs 50 crore.
Lucknow News: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of the modern office building of Uttar Pradesh State Election Commission under Awadh Vihar Yojana on Friday. In the program, the Chief Minister said that this building will give a new strength to the transparent and well -organized election system and will further strengthen the democratic process. The building to be built at a cost of about 50 crores will be spread over an area of 2618.59 square meters and will have a total of six floors including the stilt floor. Keeping in mind the safety and convenience of the building, an RCC tank of 25,000 liters of capacity will be installed on the roof and one lakh liters of underground tank at the underground level. On this occasion, CM Yogi said that the public is not only a matter of us but is Janardhana. He also said that India is the largest democracy in the world from Uttar Pradesh.

In his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the State Election Commission’s own building is a historic step towards the strength of democracy. He said that the Commission will now be able to complete the huge process of panchayat and local body elections in Uttar Pradesh in a better way. The Chief Minister said that more than 12 crore voters alone participate in the three -tier panchayat system, which is more than the total population of any other state. Uttar Pradesh currently has 57,600 gram panchayats, 826 area panchayats and 75 district panchayats. At the same time, there are 17 municipal corporations, 199 municipalities and 544 Nagar Panchayats, with which the State Election Commission also plays the responsibility of election of more than 14,000 councilors. The Chief Minister said that when India is called the largest democracy in the world, this broad electoral process of Uttar Pradesh plays an important role in it.
Listening to the voice of the public and giving importance to the public representatives
Underlining the power of democracy, Yogi Adityanath said that the public is not only a voter but a democratic system. It is the responsibility of the public representatives to listen and give importance to his voice. If a public representative ignores the expectations of the public, then after five years the public rejects it. This is the greatest power of democracy and this system has made India as a strong nation. The Chief Minister said that by the year 2047, a target has been set to make India a developed nation and it requires a developed Uttar Pradesh. He said that the strength of democratic institutions and election system is the biggest guarantee in this direction.
The construction of new building will give further speed in functioning
He said that till now the State Election Commission was functioning from the rented building, which caused many difficulties, but now the construction of the new building will give further impetus to the commission. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the State Construction Corporation will complete the construction of this six -storey modern building in less than 18 months. After this, Uttar Pradesh will be included in the selected states of the country which will have their own building of the Election Commission.

These facilities will be in the new building
Talking about the characteristics of the building, the facility of road pathway, open parking and rain water harvesting will be available in the campus. 25 K.L.D. Sewage treatment plant (STP) of capacity will be set up. The entire building will have CCTV system for security. For the convenience of employees and visitors, two lifts with 13 passenger capacity and one lift with 8 passenger capacity will be installed. Along with this, state -of -the -art arrangements will also be made for internal electrification and power wiring. This building will not only speed up the functioning of the Election Commission but will also set examples as a model office, equipped with technology and facilities. Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, State Election Commissioner Rajan Pratap Singh, Chairman of UP Women Commission, Chairman of SC-ST Commission, Panchayati State Commission officials and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
