1. Amavasya is the date of ancestors, hence on this day, make offerings to the ancestors for their peace.
2. Bathing in the holy river on Mauni Amavasya has special significance. If you are unable to do this then take bath at home by reciting bath mantra.
3. Donating on Mauni Amavasya is considered very auspicious. Do donate to the needy on this day.
4. If possible, keep a fast of silence on Mauni Amavasya and eat sattvik food and chant God’s mantras.
