Mass relief to patients, cashless claim crisis ends, facilities will continue in these companies

Cashless claim dispute

A big relief news has come out for the insurance holders. The Association of Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI) said that the ban on cashless services of Bajaj Elij General Insurance and Care Health Insurance has now been lifted. Earlier it was being said that since 1 September 2025, customers of these insurance companies will not get cashless facility in many hospitals in North India, but now this matter has been resolved.

AHPI has further indicated that they will soon meet the General Insurance Council. The aim is to bring transparency in rates between insurance companies and hospitals and provide better services to patients on time.

Agreement in the meeting, services will start again

On August 28, an important meeting was held between AHPI’s core committee and senior officials of Bajaj Elijanj. In this meeting, both sides discussed and resolved the old controversies. After this it was decided that Bajaj Elij will formally inform AHPI about its action by 29 September 2025 and will take necessary steps to resolve the complaints of hospitals. In return, AHPI instructed the hospitals to start cashless services again.

Care health was never stopped

AHPI also clarified that the services of Care Health Insurance were never closed. Only a few clarifications were sought from them, which the company replied, so their customers continued to get cashless services and will continue to get further.

Why did AHPI complain?

AHPI said that Bajaj Elijj was not increasing the rates of hospitals for the last several years, which was causing harm to them. Apart from this, the company was also delaying in adding new hospitals to its network. At the same time, payment was refused to pay in cases of robotic surgery or new technology. The biggest complaint was that insurance companies also interfere in the treatment of doctors, which is not in the interest of patients.

Insurance companies responded

Bajaj Elijanj said that his purpose is to always help patients and he never stopped cashless service. If there is no cashless service for some reason, then they pay directly to the patient’s bank account. At the same time, Care Health also assured that the process of treatment in their network hospitals will continue without interruption.
