CBSE Board Exams 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced important changes regarding class 10th and 12th board examinations of 2026. The board has made it clear in its new notification that many major improvements have been made in the process of filling the List of Candidates (LOC). This process is very important, because on this basis, preparation and organizing board exams are done every year. If a student’s name will not be included in Loc, then he will not be able to sit in the board examination. This time the board has made three major changes, which must be known to every school and student. Know about these three changes

New policy of two board exams for CBSE Board Class 10th

CBSE has implemented the policy of two board exams for class 10 from this year. This means that now schools have to ensure that the LOC of all students is filled on time. The first board exam, called the main examination, will start from mid -February mid and it will be mandatory for all students to sit in it. The LOC of the second board examination will be filled at any time after the exam first.

APAAR ID will be linked to LoC data

The board has also decided that now the students’ Automated Permanent Account Registry ID) will also be added to the LOC data of class 10 and 12. All CBSE schools in India will now have to fill the LoC of only those students who will have immense ID. The board will also verify this ID at the time of submission. However, CBSE schools located abroad are currently exempted from this rule, as there are different laws and administrative reasons.

A separate portal for children with special needs (CWSN)

CBSE has also launched a separate portal for special NEET children (CWSN). Schools have been asked to enter the information and records of such children on this portal, so that all the concessions they get at the time of examination can be implemented correctly.

What do CBSE schools and students have to take care of?

The board has advised schools to be prepared in advance. While filling the LoC, it will be mandatory to enter this information correctly-

  • Student’s full name and personal information
  • Father, mother, guardian name
  • Date of birth
  • Immense ID (for schools in India)
  • Right subject code and combination
  • In which category is applying- Fresh or improvement or compartment

The board has clearly stated that all data should be perfect and error-free, otherwise students can be prevented from appearing in the exam.
