Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami approved schemes worth Rs 495 crore including Kumbh Mela-2027, road construction, urban development, parking, dearness allowance of employees.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given a total financial and administrative approval of Rs 495 crore for various schemes related to preparations for Kumbh Mela-2027, road construction, urban development, tourism, beautification of religious places, local bodies, district panchayats and public interest. The objective of these decisions is to strengthen the infrastructure facilities in the state and to accelerate development works.
Approval given for road reconstruction in Narendra Nagar
CM Dhami has approved Rs 3.08 crore for the reconstruction and improvement work of 7.250 to 11.325 km stretch of Bharpur-Ponth Motor Road (Phase-1) in Narendra Nagar assembly constituency under the state scheme.
Shiv temple in Almora beautification and promotion of religious development
Rs 53.51 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction and beautification of Shiva temple of Bhikiyasain located in Salt assembly constituency of Almora district. In this, approval has also been given to release Rs 32.10 lakh as the first installment.
New development projects in Dharchula, Dwarahat and Champawat
Rs 80.35 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of the road from Jumma Malla Gwar to Chhipla Sarovar in Dharchula area of Pithoragarh, out of which Rs 48.21 lakh will be released as the first installment. The remaining sanction of Rs 37.60 lakh has been given for the construction of bathing ghat at Rampaduka temple on the banks of Ramganga river in Mansi located in Chaukhutia development block of Almora. Rs 60 lakh has been sanctioned for the establishment of Women Technology Park in Champawat Assembly constituency. Rs 36 lakh will be released as the first installment.
Approval given to road construction works in Haridwar and Laksar
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sanctioned Rs 47 lakh for the construction of CC road from Ward-30 Chowk Bazaar to Satighat in Kankhal of Haridwar Assembly constituency and Rs 36 lakh for the construction of CC road in Ward-27 Latowali area. Apart from this, Rs 3.72 crore has been sanctioned for road improvement work from Satsang Bhawan Maharajpur to Gangdaspur in Laksar assembly constituency.
Crores of rupees will be spent on many road projects in Sitarganj
Crores of rupees have been sanctioned for the reconstruction of various rural roads in Sitarganj assembly constituency of Udham Singh Nagar. These include reconstruction of roads and laying of tiles in Govindnagar, Rajninagar, Gaughat, Kardhariya and main market area.
Approval for development of PAC barrack, crèche and Gunji village
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sanctioned Rs 96 thousand for the establishment of a crèche in the Didihat Civil Judge Court complex. Rs 19.91 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of RTC and barracks in 31st Corps PAC, Rudrapur, of which Rs 3.14 crore will be released as the first instalment. Apart from this, approval of Rs 4.62 crore has been given for the overall development of Gunji, a frontier village of Pithoragarh district.
Urban bodies and district panchayats will get funds worth more than Rs 410 crore.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved ad-hoc financial assistance of Rs 328.28 crore to all urban local bodies of the state and Rs 82.21 crore to all district panchayats for the second quarter (July to September) of the financial year 2026-27, awaiting the recommendations of the Sixth State Finance Commission.
Multilevel parking will be built in Ramnagar and adventure park in Champawat.
Rs 38.58 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of multi-storey parking on old tehsil land in Ramnagar in Nainital district. Rs 3.05 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of Adventure Park in Champawat, of which Rs 1.22 crore will be released for the year 2026-27. Apart from this, Rs 5.38 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of the second floor of the Divisional Transport Office building located in Dehradun.
Electricity system will be strengthened for Kumbh Mela-2027
The Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 43.87 crore to ensure uninterrupted and reliable power supply during Kumbh Mela-2027. Rs 17.55 crore will be released as the first installment.
Approval of increase in dearness allowance of government employees
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the increase in dearness allowance of those employees working in the state government and state autonomous bodies and undertakings, who are drawing salaries as per the Fifth and Sixth Central Pay Commission. From January 1, 2026, dearness allowance of fifth pay scale employees has been increased from 474 percent to 483 percent and dearness allowance of sixth pay scale employees has been increased from 257 percent to 262 percent.
Name of two roads will be changed in Almora
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved naming the Dhumkheda road from Bidora-Chhevi Patshahi Gate in Ranikhet assembly constituency of Almora district as ‘Sahibzade Fateh Singh Road’. Along with this, approval has also been given to name the Sauni-Daudakhal-Tipola motor road after Uttarakhand state agitator late Puran Singh Dangwal.
