It is approximately 2 to 3 feet long and up to 1 foot wide. Its size can be more or less than this. Talking about the way of making it, it is baked on hot stones found from the river, due to which it has a grainy texture. It is considered the national bread of Iran.

Oval Shape Barbari Roti
Barbari roti is also eaten a lot in Iran. It is made in oval shape. It is puffed up like bread and is prepared by baking. It is golden brown in appearance from above and has a slight crunch. Sesame and black cumin seeds are added to it.

Taftoon Roti
Taftoon bread eaten in Iran is very soft to eat and its taste is slightly sweet. To make it, things like flour, milk, curd, sugar and ghee are used. Some spices are also added to it which give it an aroma and then it is cooked in tandoor. It is made especially in weddings and on festive occasions.

Lavash Bread
Lavash roti of Iran is somewhat similar to Rumali roti made in India. Its shape is round or oval. This is also quite big and is a very thin, soft and layered roti. Talking about softness, this roti can be easily held in a fist.
