A news has come out from Bahadurgarh, Haryana which has put humanity to shame. Five youths committed gang rape of a girl in a closed dhaba near Tikri border.
The surprising thing is that no complaint was lodged by the victim in this case. The police came to know about this horrific incident when the footage of CCTV cameras installed on the highway was scrutinized. It was clearly visible in the video how the accused were forcibly dragging the girl.
The girl came in search of work, the brutes chased her from the metro station
Giving information about this case, Police Commissioner Dr. Rajshree Singh said that the victim had reached Bahadurgarh by bus with her uncle in search of work. He got down at Shri Ram Metro station at around 2 o’clock in the night. Since then five youths started chasing him. At around 2:30 in the night, near a closed dhaba located on the Delhi-Rohtak road, these criminals caught hold of the girl and dragged her inside, where they brutalized her.
Online payment of just Rs 30 landed him behind bars
It was a big challenge for the police to reach these accused, but a small mistake trapped them. Before committing the crime, the accused had purchased a bottle of country liquor from a liquor vend. The cost of the bottle was Rs 130, out of which he had Rs 100 in cash and the remaining Rs 30 he had transferred through Paytm (UPI). The police obtained his phone number through this digital transaction.
Accused caught with the help of AI and social media
After getting the number, the police took the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and social media and tracked the location of the accused. All these accused are residents of Bihar and were living on rent in Chhotu Ram Nagar of Bahadurgarh. The police, showing promptness, have arrested four accused, while one accused is still absconding, for whom raids are being conducted.
