Dhoni’s journey has been quite inspiring. Dhoni, who once worked as a ticket collector, became India’s most successful trophy-winning captain and led the team to historic victories in the ICC World Twenty20 in 2007, the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011 and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.

With 17,266 international runs and 829 dismissals in 538 matches across all formats for India, the renowned wicketkeeper-batsman is counted among the greats of the game. He is believed to have changed India’s approach to limited overs cricket.
In 350 One Day International (ODI) matches, Dhoni scored 10,773 runs at an average of 50.57, including 10 centuries and 73 half-centuries, and his career best score is 183 not out. He is India’s sixth-highest run-scorer in ODIs, topped by Sachin Tendulkar with 18,426 runs.
In 98 T20 Internationals, Dhoni scored 1,617 runs at an average of 37.60 and a strike rate of 126.13, including two half-centuries and a highest score of 56.
