Lord Story of Parashuram: There are ten incarnations of Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, the sustainer of the world. Lord Parashuram is one of these incarnations. Lord Parshuram is the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that Lord Parshuram is still living on earth. Lord Parshuram’s name was Ram, but when Lord Shiva gave him a divine axe, his name was Parashuram.

Lord Parshuram’s father’s name was Maharishi Jamdagni and his mother’s name was Renuka. Shri Haru Vishnu was born as Parashurama from the womb of Mother Renuka with the partial energy of Venus. His clan was Brahmin, but he is known as a Kshatriya by nature and actions. Parshuram ji is also known as a great devotee of his ancestors. Following his father’s orders, he beheaded his mother. Then he asked for three boons from his father. Let us know about this story in detail.

Mother Renuka was a devoted woman.

It is said that Renuka Mata’s devotion to her husband was very high. Renuka Mata never brought water in a baked earthen pitcher, rather she used to bring water in a raw earthen pitcher due to her devout religion. Not even a single drop of water fell from the pitcher. According to a story, one day she went from the ashram to the river to collect water. During this time, while filling water, his eyes fell on a Gandharva named Chitrangad, who was immersed in luxury with his nymphs.

Seeing all this, mother Renuka’s mind was shaken for a moment. Then at the same time his patriotism got destroyed or should we say it was broken. After this, the water did not stop in the raw clay pot in which she used to carry water. Seeing this the mother started crying and returned back to the ashram. After this, Maharishi Jamdagni came and he learned everything through his penance. Maharishi Jamdagni became very angry after knowing everything.

Maharishi Jamadagni cursed his sons

Maharishi Jamadagni and Mata Renuka had five sons. He called everyone. First of all he ordered his eldest son to cut off his mother’s head. The son said that if you allow me, I can give up my life, but cannot take my mother’s life. Then in anger he cursed his son to become irrational. Similarly, all three sons refused and Maharishi Jamadagni cursed all of them to become irrational.

Parshuram ji cut off mother’s head and asked for boon

At last he called Parashuram ji and asked him, like everyone else, to cut off his mother’s head. Without a moment’s thought, Parashuram ji, following his father’s orders, cut off the head of Mother Renuka. Seeing this, Maharishi Jamdagni was very happy and asked him to ask for a boon from his son. Then Parshuram ji asked for three boons. Parshuram ji first asked for the life of Mother Renuka as a boon. As a second boon, Parashurama asked that his mother should never remember that he had cut off her head.

As the third and final boon, he asked his father for the consciousness of his brothers. Maharishi Jamdagni gave all three boons to his son. There is also a story that Mother Renuka remembered everything. One day he called his son Parashuram and said that one day you too will suffer in the same way as you troubled me. It is said that during the Ramayana period, Mother Renuka had come in the form of Kaikeyi. He had asked for exile for Lord Ram, another incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
