Mumbai: Amid the ongoing counting of 227 wards of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC expressed confidence of Mahayuti’s victory in the Maharashtra civic polls. Exit polls have predicted the victory of the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance, in which the Thackeray brothers came second and the Congress and its allies could not do much. On Friday, Shaina said- Exit polls are just a trailer; Results will come in 2 hours. The public has given its verdict for 29 municipal corporations on the basis of development and progress works of Eknath Shinde.

Responding to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray’s allegations of election irregularities, including removal of indelible ink, use of voting machines and PAIDU (Printing Auxiliary Display Unit) without information, Shaina questioned the opposition party’s repeated allegations and said Uddhav Thackeray should change his scriptwriter and find some other excuse… It is the public who decide victory and defeat. The message is that opportunities go to those who work on the ground, and those who work from home are kept at home.

In the 2017 elections, the undivided Shiv Sena had won 84 seats out of the total 227.
