Babatpur Hotel Controversy: A case of family dispute has come to light from Babatpur area of Varanasi, where a woman has accused her husband of assault, threatening to kill her and meeting with another woman. The woman has filed a complaint with the police and demanded a fair investigation. At present, the police have started investigating the case on the basis of the application. Officials say that the allegations will be confirmed and further legal action will be taken only after the investigation is completed.
Woman reaches hotel in search of husband, makes serious allegations
According to the application given by the woman to the police, she reached a hotel in Babatpur area while searching for her husband. She claims that there she saw her husband with another woman. The woman alleges that after coming out of the hotel, her husband took her to a nearby hospital, where she was beaten up and even threatened to kill her. The police are currently investigating these allegations.
Also accused of leaving the house with auto, bike and cash
In the complaint, the woman has also alleged that her husband has left the house with an auto rickshaw, motorcycle, mobile phone, cash and other important items. The woman is currently living in a rented house in Raghunathpur area of Varanasi with her two small children. The woman has demanded protection from the police and impartial action in the case. At present the police is verifying all the facts mentioned in the complaint.
Accused of straying from jurisdiction, police started investigation
The woman says that while filing the complaint, she had to go between Baragaon and Phulpur police stations due to jurisdiction. Later he gave a written complaint at Phulpur police station demanding action. Phulpur police station in-charge Rajeev Kumar Singh said that the application has been received. The incident site and jurisdiction are being verified. He said that based on whatever facts emerge in the investigation, legal action will be taken as per rules. Also clarified that the allegations made in the complaint can be independently confirmed only after the investigation is completed.
