This time a two-day summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization i.e. NATO is being organized in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye. What issues can be discussed in the 2026 summit?
The final agenda is decided at the time of the meeting, but the major issues that may be included include Europe’s collective security, Russia-Ukraine war, defense budget, cooperation in the defense industry, cyber security, artificial intelligence and new military technologies, counter-terrorism and NATO’s future strategy.

When was NATO established?
This important organization was established on 4 April 1949. At present there are a total of 32 member countries of this organization. This is an important organization of the countries of North America and Europe. It was established with the signing of the Washington Treaty. Its headquarters is in Brussels, Belgium.
Where was the NATO summit held?
- Year 2025: This summit was held in The Hague, Netherlands. In this, emphasis was laid on increasing defense expenditure and strengthening collective security.
