In a press conference held on the occasion of RSS being 100 years old, Bhagwat (who will be 75 years old from the Prime Minister) said, “I never said that I will retire or someone else should retire when he is 75 years old.” They said,

We are volunteers in the Sangh. We have been given a job. Whether we want or not. If I am 80 years old and someone says go, run a branch, I have to go. I cannot say that 75 years have been completed. Now I want to enjoy retirement. Whatever we are asked to do, we do the same.
