Actually Madhura was fascinated by seeing Lord Shiva. That is why she wanted to awaken her with penance and talk to them. So, Mata reaches Parvati there and seeing her husband’s penance dissolved, she becomes angry at Madhura.

Mother Parvati cursed Madhura that she would become a frog and stay in a well. Seeing the wrath of Mother Parvati, Madhura starts apologizing to her. She sadly pleads with Mata Parvati, then Mother Parvati tells her that you can come back in their form by meditating. Madhura meditated and cursed was free. She then gives voice to get out of the well. At the same place, Mayasur and Hema, who are meditating to get children, take out Madhura and adopt it. He named Madhura Mandodari and later is married to Ravana.
