According to the complaint lodged by the girl’s father on Tuesday, accused Ravi Shankar Mishra and his father, both of the teenager’s village, were pressurizing their families to compromise in the rape case.

Father is afraid of killing daughter

The complaint alleges that Mishra and her father kidnapped her after the girl’s family refused to compromise. The girl’s father also said that he was afraid of killing his daughter. Based on the complaint, a new case of kidnapping has been registered against Mishra and his father at Gopiganj police station. Police said that efforts are being made to locate the girl and the accused.

Kidnapped from school as an excuse

Gopiganj police station in -charge Shailesh Kumar Rai informed about the initial case, saying that on December 26, 2024, Mishra had picked up the girl from her school as an excuse for her mother’s health. He had allegedly drank it by mixing intoxicating substance in a bottle of water. The SHO reported that after the girl fainted, the accused allegedly raped her and left her near the school in an unconscious state. The girl’s father lodged a complaint in the case on December 28, 2024, after which Mishra was arrested and sent to jail. The hearing of the case is now going on in the court and Mishra has come out on bail since June this year.
