UP Transport Helpline Number 149: Uttar Pradesh Transport Department has started a three -digit helpline number 149 for the convenience of citizens. It will remain active 24×7 and will work with the current number 1800–1800-151.
Lucknow News: Keeping in mind the public interest under the guidance of the Yogi government, it was requested to provide easy helpline numbers by the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department. On this, the Ministry of Telecommunications has approved the short code “149” by the Government of India Government of India. Now the helpline of the Transport Department will be available from both numbers-1800-1800-151 and new “149”-24 × 7 will be available. Its purpose is to provide immediate, reliable and transparent assistance to every citizen in a single call.
Uttar Pradesh Transport Helpline: Why is “149” helpline number special
Till now it was difficult for people to remember a long number. But now with the available number of three digits, anyone can easily call. The purpose of the Transport Department is to provide quick, reliable and transparent assistance to every citizen on a single call. Calling on this helpline will provide these major facilities to citizens: Driving License (DL) and Registration Certificate (RC), Vehicle Permit, Fitness, Road Tax and Pollution Certificate (PUC), BH-Series Registration and E-V subsidy, scrap policy (RVSF), ATS, ADTC, E-Chalan and E-DAR services related information, information related to E-DAR services, information and information related to E-DAR services, online portraits Redressal. After making the call, related information, link or complaint number will be available to the citizens immediately on mobile.

Apart from phone calls, citizens can file a new complaint on https://upgov.info/transport portal or check the status of the earlier complaint. E-challan or other payments should be made only on the authorized government portal parivahan.gov.in. The verified WhatsApp chatbot number of the department is 8005441222 – get information from this. Beware of suspected links or calls and use only valid e-payments mediums (UPI, net banking, cards etc.).

Transport Commissioner Brajesh Narayan Singh said that we had requested to provide a small and memorable number ‘149’, which has been approved and implemented by the Government of India keeping the convenience of citizens at the center. Now 24 × 7 assistance will be available on both ‘149’ and 1800-1800-151. Our goal is safe roads, simple services and satisfied citizens. Regular reviews of the helpline will lead to timely and effective redressal of complaints. With this initiative of the Yogi government, all services from driving license to tax and permit will be available on the same call. Millions of drivers and ordinary citizens of UP will get great relief from the beginning of small and memorable number “149”.
