But amidst the hustle and bustle of this T20 series, India’s legendary batsman and former captain Rohit Sharma has suddenly reached England and has started practicing as soon as he stepped on the field. A video of Rohit Sharma batting in the nets is going viral on social media, in which he is seen playing excellent shots.
Why did Rohit Sharma reach England during the T20 series?
It is natural for the cricket fans to have this question that when Rohit Sharma has retired from T20 International cricket, what is he doing in England during this series? Actually, the Indian team has to play a 3-match ODI series against England immediately after the T20 series. The first match of this ODI series is to be played on July 14 at the Edgbaston ground in Birmingham. Rohit Sharma is only a part of the ODI format, so he has reached England well in time to strengthen his preparations for this series so that he can adapt himself to the conditions and weather there.
In the video going viral, Rohit Sharma is seen in great touch. After recovering from injury, Rohit, trying to regain his full form, practiced extensively on throw-downs in the nets and against fast bowlers. During this period, some excellent straight drives and cover drives were seen from his bat, seeing which it seems that he is fully prepared to take the class of England bowlers.
