The 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated across the state on National Youth Day. Collective Surya Namaskar was done in all the schools. Minister Uday Pratap Singh participated in the program in Narsinghpur and gave the message of Yoga and Vivekananda’s ideals.
Bhopal. The 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated as National Youth Day in the state on Monday. On this occasion, mass Surya Namaskar was organized in all the schools of the state. Students gave the message of healthy life and discipline through yoga practice.
Minister Uday Pratap Singh participated in Surya Namaskar program in Narsinghpur.
School Education and Transport Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh participated in the Surya Namaskar program organized at Rao Rukmani Devi Public School located on the highway in Narsinghpur district. He did collective Surya Namaskar and yoga with the students. On this occasion, the people present also listened to the recorded message of Swami Vivekananda and the broadcast of radio message of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
Message of connecting with Yoga and Vivekananda’s ideals
Minister Shri Singh inspired the students to make yoga a part of life and follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. He said that unless children are connected with the thoughts of their great men, their sense of self-confidence, character building and patriotism cannot be fully developed.

The Minister said that National Youth Day is an opportunity to identify the hidden talent within children, give them the right direction and make them responsible citizens. This day is not only a day of celebration but also a day of taking a pledge to adopt the teachings of Swami Vivekananda in life.

Swami Vivekananda was a young monk who, at a young age, brought glory to India across the world with his thoughts and powerful speech. He brought the message of India’s spiritual tradition, Vedanta and humanity to Europe and America.
He proved that India is not just a geographical unit, but a land of knowledge, culture and self-confidence. His immortal message “Arise, Awake and stop not till the goal is achieved” is an inspiration for the youth even today.
Yoga got global recognition under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the School Education Minister said that under his guidance, innovation, self-reliance and progress have gained momentum in the country. By starting International Yoga Day, Prime Minister Modi established Yoga as a global lifestyle, thereby realizing the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. Today Yoga has become the cultural identity of India across the world.
Organized in every district under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav
Minister Shri Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, National Youth Day programs were organized in every district of the state. He said that it is important for children to understand why National Youth Day is celebrated and the importance of Swami Vivekananda’s life and thoughts behind it.
