ISRO’s first satellite mission of the year 2026, PSLV-C62, has failed. In this mission, launched from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, there was a technical glitch in the third stage, due to which the rocket deviated from its planned path. Through this mission, a total of 15 satellites including EOS-09 ‘Anvesha’ spy satellite were to be placed in Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO). Anvesha Satellite was developed by DRDO, which is equipped with Hyperspectral Remote Sensing (HRS) technology and was considered very important in keeping an eye on enemy activities.
