  • In his live session, Diljit spoke openly about the events leading up to the ban. He said, “My love and respect to all of you. Exactly what I had anticipated happened. I thought that when the offices opened on Monday, the film would probably be banned. But I didn’t know that it would happen on Sunday evening itself.”
  • He further explained why the team did not promote the film extensively. He said that the uncertainty regarding the release of the film had determined his strategy from the beginning.
  • He said, “That’s why we could not promote the film. If we had promoted, the film would not have been released.”

How did the film reach the audience even after the ban?

  • Despite the ban, Diljit expressed relief that the film reached the audience through OTT.

The film is based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who went missing in 1995. Diljit stressed the relevance of the story, saying, “From 1995 to 2026, it seems we are still standing at the same place. Humanity is dead, so I’m sad.”
