Under the vision of Yogi government, AI based smart vaccination tracking system has been started in Fatehpur. The vaccination rate in the pilot project has reached 95 percent. This is the first district of UP where vaccination is being monitored with AI.
Lucknow. Yogi government is continuously taking the help of technology to make health services strong and effective in the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is emphasizing on maximum use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern technology in health services, so that better and timely health facilities can reach the common people. By implementing this vision of the Chief Minister, Fatehpur district has set a new example.
AI based smart vaccination tracking system implemented in Fatehpur
AI based app ‘Smart Vaccination Tracking System’ has been developed to monitor vaccination of children in Fatehpur district. With this, Fatehpur has become the first district of Uttar Pradesh, where Artificial Intelligence is being used to achieve 100% vaccination target. At present this system has been started in the aspirational block Hathgam as a pilot project. After getting positive results, now preparations are being made to implement it in the entire district.
Vaccination rate reached 95 percent through pilot project
With the use of this AI based app, there has been a significant improvement in the status of vaccination in Hathgam block. While earlier the vaccination rate was relatively low, it has now increased to about 95 percent. This result shows that with the right use of technology, major changes in health services are possible.
The main objective of the app is to ensure 100% vaccination
Fatehpur District Magistrate Ravindra Singh said that this AI based app has been developed under the Chief Minister’s vision of connecting health services with technology. It was implemented in the aspirational block Hathgam from September 1.
Through this app, all the important information related to vaccination of newborns and children is being sent to the parents on time through WhatsApp messages. Besides, information about VHND (Village Health and Nutrition Day) sessions happening nearby is also being given, so that parents can get their children vaccinated on time. The initiative aims to ensure that no child is deprived of essential vaccines in his or her first year.
Lagging areas are being identified in vaccination through AI
DM Ravindra Singh said that the biggest feature of this app is real time monitoring and AI based data analysis. Through this, those areas are being easily identified where the vaccination rate is low or children are missing out on vaccination due to some reason. Through AI analysis, not only problem areas are identified, but the reasons behind them are also revealed. Based on this, corrective steps are being taken immediately.
Solution to the problem of missed vaccinations through reminder system
Through the app, automated reminder messages are sent to children’s mothers before vaccination. With this, the problem of lack of information or accidentally missing vaccination is being solved to a great extent. Along with this, demand and supply management of vaccines has also become easier, accurate and stronger through this system.
Separate mobile app for ANM, use of OCR technology
Keeping in mind the convenience of health workers, a separate mobile app has been prepared for ANM. In this, ANM gets real time due list, so that they clearly know which children are pending vaccination in which area.
Apart from this, the vaccination status of the child is being updated by simply uploading the photo of the MCP card using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology. This has reduced manual entry errors and speeded up the work.
Development of the app after communication with the health department, general public and WHO.
District Magistrate Ravindra Singh said that before developing this AI based app, detailed communication was held with the Health Department, the general public and the World Health Organization (WHO). By incorporating everyone’s suggestions, a system has been prepared which is both practical and effective. This initiative is being considered an important step towards digital health and smart governance in Uttar Pradesh.
