The Second Global Spiritual Tourism Conference ‘Ruh Mantic’ was held in Ujjain under Spiritual Tourism Growth. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Shekhawat insisted on making religious tourism a global center.

Ujjain Religious Tourism: August 27 was very special for Madhya Pradesh in terms of religious tourism. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Tourism-Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat launched the Second Global Spiritual Tourism Conference ‘Ruh Mantic’ in Ujjain on 27 August. This second global spiritual tourism conference further strengthened the concept to make Madhya Pradesh a global center of religious tourism. The Chief Minister said that India is the best place for self -thinking and Madhya Pradesh is being developed as ‘Heart of Incredible India’. Religious tourism has got new pace under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, due to which the number of tourists in the state is increasing rapidly.

Preparations for Simhastha 2028 of Ujjain in full swing

  • Prime Minister Modi has acknowledged the importance of religious tourism along with the economic progress of the country. Mega projects like Shri Krishna Paithe have been approved in Madhya Pradesh. Preparations for Simhastha 2028 of Ujjain are in full swing, which will develop the city as a spiritual tourist center. The country has major religious tourist places like Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Tirupati and Varanasi, including Ujjain soon.

The development of several pilgrimage centers, including the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, was discussed, and plans were prepared to introduce tourists to Vedanta and Advaita philosophy. 11 crore tourists arrived in the state in 2023 and 13 crore tourists in 2024, whose number is increasing by 20 percent annually.
